Book Review! Indoor Plant Care 101, by Miche Ferret, is a friendly book companion to plants and their caretakers! Especially, indoor plants! Many of us see cute plants or ogle at what our plant friends on FBâs plant groups are bragging about! But not all of us are educated on these plants. Anyone ðð»ââï¸? Impulse buyers! We can also become impulse plant killers. A little education goes a long way, well, âhelpâ brownish thumbs graduate into a greener thumbs ð. This bookâs approach, POV, is like what you need, a friendly read from a person that knows a little, or a lot, more than you. The author is sharing good tips, but isnât using encyclopedia terms you donât understand. More like a blogger, but bookish! Thereâs tip like choosing the right plant for your life style: plant at a desk, low light, bright indirect light? What types of soil and how much water? Succulent much? Even âimpossible to killâ plants. I have a different view in that phrase, but thatâs whatâs floating around right? People like me, who own over 100 different types of indoor plants, who find the true botanical names more appealing than the common yet so vague names, can use some pointers. Who knows! Maybe we can all finally stroll down the plant isles and say âHey!, thatâs a Tradescantia Zebrina! And NOT âinch plantâ or âwandering â¦!â

I just had to drop you a line about this amazing book I came across. It’s all about plants and gardening, and let me tell you, it’s a treasure trove of information. I’ve learned so much from it, and the author’s passion really shines through. I’m giving it a glowing 5-star rating on Amazon because it’s been such a game-changer for me. If you’re as fascinated by plants as I am, this book is an absolute must-read.

I like a book with pictures. Call me old fashioned but I would have enjoyed the book more if it included photos of different plants. Not one plant photo, no pictures at all.

My favorite part of this book is that the author wrote it in a manner that feels like you are having a conversation with a friend. It is very relatable and has a lot of great tips for a beginning plant owner, which I definitely needed! I learned why some of my plants were not thriving, and have been able to make some adjustments that were suggested in the book. This a great overview of taking care of houseplants.

This little treasure of a book is worth adding to your collection of reads. Whether you consider yourself somewhat of a plant connoisseur like myself, or are just commencing your plant journey, it has content for both audiences. The information is not overbearing or boring like other plant books can oftentimes be. In my opinion its just the right combination of need-to-knows, fun relatable quotes, and completely necessary information to become an indoor plant expert in no time.

I bought this book based on the title and wished I’d read the reviews first. I moved into a larger place and now have room for quite a few plants. Without pictures it was really a worthless purchase. I lost the little plastic things they stick in your pots for item you purchase and now I don’t know one from another. At least it has a picture on the cover.

Whether you’re a seasoned plant parent or a newbie starting out, this book is for you!Written in excellent detail, this book covers all the bases for starting out your indoor plant journey, as well as offering superb advice on the maintenance of one’s current houseplants (I was especially excited to read the section about homemade pest sprays!).All in all, an excellent read!

The book was informative, but I was disappointed that there were no pictures/drawings of any plants.

The lack of photos of the plants written about is annoying. I had to keep looking them up on google.Overall itâs a helpful book but not laid out too well. Feels like a school text book without pictures.Disappointing.
