Ansu Fati’s Father Urges him to Leave Barcelona if Playing Time doesn’t Improve
Barcelona’s La Masia graduate, Ansu Fati, has been advised by his father to leave the club if his playing time doesn’t improve. Fati inherited the iconic number 10 shirt previously worn by Lionel Messi after he left for Paris-Saint Germain in the summer of 2021. However, persistent injury setbacks and limited opportunities under boss Xavi have seen the 20-year-old start only nine matches this season and feature 15 times off the bench for the LaLiga leaders.

Bori Fati, Ansu’s father, is angry over the situation and has advised his son to consider his future at Camp Nou. A meeting between Bori, Ansu, and agent Jorge Mendes is expected to take place soon. Manchester United, Arsenal, and Liverpool have been linked previously with the talented teenager. However, Barca chiefs Jordi Cruyff and Mateu Alemany insist that Fati remains part of the club’s future plans, with a contract until 2027. Bori Fati has not ruled out Sevilla or Real Madrid as potential future destinations for his son.
