Anthony Joshua to Make Comeback in December After Win Over Jermaine Franklin
Anthony Joshua has confirmed that he will be returning to the ring in December, following his recent win over Jermaine Franklin. Despite being linked with fights against Dillian Whyte and Tyson Fury, Joshua has opted for a lengthier break from the sport due to a suspected nose injury sustained during the fight.
The British heavyweight star has suffered setbacks in recent years, losing his unified WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight titles to Oleksandr Usyk in 2021, and failing to reclaim them in a rematch last year. However, he banished thoughts of retirement and is determined to continue pushing and climbing the ladder once again.
Joshua’s passion for the sport remains undimmed, as he came back from adversity to secure his first victory since 2020. Although he acknowledges that he may have made some rookie mistakes in the process, he is still committed to chasing the dream and hopes to face his British rival Fury in a future showdown.
Meanwhile, Dillian Whyte has dismissed any notions of a Joshua and Fury fight, insisting that he is ready to face either opponent. Despite the uncertainty surrounding the future of British heavyweight boxing, avid fans can expect to see Joshua back in action come December.
