Arsenal Rising Star Folarin Balogun Hints at Possible Exit After Impressive Season for Reims
Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun has been in sublime form this season for French Ligue 1 side Reims, netting 18 goals in a campaign that saw him outshine the likes of Neymar and Lionel Messi. Although the 21-year-old striker is expected to return to the Emirates at the end of the season when his loan deal expires, he has hinted that he may explore his options elsewhere. Balogun says, “A lot could happen in football, a lot could change…and it just depends on the conversations we have between me and the club in the summer, and we’ll see what happens.”
When asked about the possibility of prolonging his stay at Reims, Balogun reveals, “Of course, I have had a good year here and to a lot of people, it makes sense for me to come back here. If you’re ready to take yourself out of your comfort zone, I would advise any young player to come here.”
Manager Mikel Arteta has high hopes for the rising star; however, with Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah ahead of him in the pecking order, it remains to be seen whether or not Balogun will stick around. It would be a shame to see the talented striker depart from the Gunners after his impressive stint at Reims, where he has proven his goal-scoring abilities and demonstrated his potential as a world-class forward.
Despite Balogun’s uncertain future, his impressive achievements at Reims should not be overlooked. His performances this season have elevated him to the ranks of Europe’s top rising stars, and his promise as a future goal-scoring machine has certainly not gone unnoticed.
