Bath Beats Exeter 36-19 in Rugby Match

Bath Claims Surprise Win Over Exeter in Gallagher Premiership

In a stunning upset, Bath overcame Exeter in a 36-19 victory at the Recreation Ground. Bath secured their first Premiership win this year, ending a five-match losing streak to climb out of the basement. Exeter’s playoff hopes were dealt a severe blow as Bath claimed the bonus point with tries from Cameron Redpath, Ollie Lawrence, Beno Obano, Joe Cokanasiga, and Tom Dunn. Ben Spencer kicked four conversions, and Piers Francis landed a late penalty.

Exeter gave it their all, with center Solomone Kata, prop Scott Sio, and replacement hooker Jack Yeandle all scoring tries, while England center Henry Slade added two conversions. However, it wasn’t enough to overcome Bath’s resurgent home pack. Bath’s victory moves them above Newcastle into 10th place, while Exeter remains eight points behind fourth-placed London Irish with only three games left in their Premiership campaign.
