Mason Mount’s Potential Move to Bayern Munich: Is it Really Happening?
Reports of Chelsea star Mason Mount’s potential move to Bayern Munich have been making rounds lately, but are they really true? According to The Athletic’s Raphael Honigstein, fans and followers shouldn’t jump the gun just yet. While Thomas Tuchel, Mount’s former boss at Chelsea who recently took charge of Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, might like the player, Honigstein believes that a reunion is unlikely.
Mount enjoyed an impressive run last season under Tuchel, scoring 19 goals and assisting 19 more in all competitions. However, his numbers have taken a dip in the current campaign. With Manchester United, Liverpool, and Newcastle all said to be interested in the England international, Mount’s future at Chelsea remains uncertain.
One thing is certain though, Chelsea faces a ‘fire sale’ this summer as they try to recover from recording a loss of £121million last season. Will Mount be a part of that sale or will he stay? Only time will tell.
