Carlo Ancelotti being convinced by Real Madrid legends to take up Brazil manager role

Ronaldo and Kaka working to convince Ancelotti to become Brazil’s new coach

According to reports, Real Madrid and Brazil legends Ronaldo and Kaka are hard at work persuading Carlo Ancelotti to take on the role of Brazil’s new manager. Both former players under Ancelotti’s tenure at AC Milan, Ronaldo and Kaka have been discussing with the Italian the prospect of filling the vacant position on behalf of the Brazilian FA (CBF).

As per The Athletic, it’s clear that Brazil wants the esteemed Ancelotti as their new coach, and he’s reportedly open to the idea. However, it remains to be seen whether he’ll leave the Spanish capital and take on this new challenge.

Ancelotti still has a contract with Real until 2024, but Ronaldo and Kaka, who played for the club from 2002-2007 and 2009-2013, respectively, are making their best efforts to convince him to leave the contract early.

Since the resignation of Tite as Brazil manager after the World Cup in 2022, the Selecao hasn’t named a permanent manager, and Ramon Menezes currently holds the interim position.

During a recent interview with Reuters, CBF president Ednaldo Rodrigues expressed his interest in bringing Ancelotti to South America, stating that the coach is “universally respected among players”. However, no formal approach has yet been made, as the FA is respecting Ancelotti’s contract with Real. Nevertheless, Brazil will start negotiations with their shortlist of managers in April to announce their new coach by the end of May.

Should Ancelotti depart, it is expected that he will become the Brazilian national team coach at the end of the season, but there’s no guarantee that this will happen. Fans across the globe will be eagerly waiting to see how the situation unfolds, with Brazil being one of the most successful national teams in football history.
