Chelsea fans jeer Graham Potter with chant ‘you don’t know what you’re doing’ after Aston Villa defeat

Chelsea Fans Turn on Graham Potter After Embarrassing 2-0 Defeat to Aston Villa

The Chelsea faithful have turned on their manager, Graham Potter, after a disappointing 2-0 defeat at home to Aston Villa. The Blues had seemed to be making progress under Potter after impressive wins against Leeds, Leicester, and Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League. However, the loss to Villa has left Chelsea languishing in 11th place, with Unai Emery’s Villains leapfrogging them in the league table.

Despite dominating possession and registering 26 shots, Chelsea could not breach Villa’s defense, and were unable to convert any golden chances that came their way. Their woes were compounded when Ollie Watkins was gifted a goal in the opening minutes, thanks to an inexplicable header back towards goal by Marc Cucurella.

The fans made their displeasure known, with loud chants of “you don’t know what you’re doing” directed at Potter. Thiago Silva’s wife, Isabelle, expressed her own disbelief via Twitter, calling the team’s performance “very sad” as they slipped to 11th in the table.

Chelsea now face Liverpool in their next fixture, and the pressure is mounting on Potter to turn things around quickly. The Reds themselves have struggled this season, suffering a humiliating 4-1 loss to Manchester City on Saturday.
