Chris Wilder to remain as Watford manager until the end of the season, announces club.

Watford Football Club has confirmed that Chris Wilder will continue as their manager until the end of the season, putting an end to rumours that he was to be replaced by Italian, Francesco Farioli. Wilder is the fourth manager to be appointed by the club within a year, and anti-Pozzo chants were heard after their defeat to Huddersfield. The club is currently placed 12th in the Sky Bet Championship, six points away from the playoffs, and has been subject to criticism for being a “hire-and-fire club” in recent times. The technical director of Watford, Ben Manga, has called the speculation surrounding Wilder’s position “totally disrespectful”, adding that the team intends to fight for a place in the playoffs.
