Chennai Super Kings – With four titles under their belt and reaching an impressive nine finals in 13 seasons, CSK is the team to watch this year. And, with the revamped Chepauk stadium finally at full capacity, the home advantage is sure to make a difference. Look out for Ben Stokes to light up the park with his explosive batting, while the team’s weakness in fast bowling depth could pose a challenge.
Delhi Capitals – Although missing their star player Rishabh Pant, DC’s well-balanced and strong squad led by experienced IPL leader David Warner is sure to give other teams a run for their money. With good Indian seam options, DC may even field three overseas batters, and their biggest challenge would be to pick the right XI.
Gujarat Titans – The reigning champions had a brilliant team spirit last season and would be looking to carry it forward this year. They have a nicely-balanced attack led by Hardik Pandya, but with no English players and over-reliant on certain match-winners, it could be a stretch to repeat their last year’s title-winning performance.
