Leeds United’s match against Crystal Palace was a day to forget with a final score of 5-1. Even Patrick Bamford’s opening goal after 21 minutes couldn’t save Leeds from their downfall. Crystal Palace’s midfielders, especially the remarkable Michael Olise, took full advantage of the space given to them to pick Leeds apart. After the equaliser by Marc Guehi, the hosts imploded, conceding three times in just 10 minutes. Eberechi Eze ended up rounding off a beautiful move with Olise to make it 3-1, while Odsonne Edouard calmly found the bottom corner from 15 yards out to make it a 4-1. Jordan Ayew ended up scoring his first-ever brace in English football, making it a total of five goals for Crystal Palace. Roy Hodgson’s managerial change has clearly brought the club favour as they are now 12th in the table and six points above the bottom three. However, Leeds United is undoubtedly struggling as they are only two points above from the relegation zone.
