Efforts are being made by the Marshall Islands to establish a soccer team.

Discover the inspiring story of the Marshall Islands’ mission to bring football to their nation and earn FIFA recognition, all for the love of the game and a father’s love for his son. With a population of approximately 60,000 spread over five islands and 30 atolls, there was no established league or pathway, but Shem Livai, a Marshallese businessman, saw an opportunity to change that. Motivated by his son’s enthusiasm for the sport, Livai started the Marshall Islands Soccer Federation (MISF) last year, bringing on a technical director, a head of marketing, and a press director. The ultimate goal? To raise awareness on climate change and use football as a force for good. Join the football-loving pioneers of the Marshall Islands as they build everything from nothing and aim to become a FIFA-recognized nation.
