Arsenal’s Second Attempt to Woo Eric Garcia from Barcelona

Arsenal is reportedly interested in signing Eric Garcia, the 22-year-old centre-back from Barcelona. The Gunners previously made an approach to sign the Spain international during the January transfer window but were unsuccessful. With Barcelona rumoured to be signing Inigo Martinez, Garcia could be tempted to join the Premier League side this time around. Garcia signed a five-year contract with Barcelona and has only started in 11 La Liga games this season.

Xavi Hernandez, the Barcelona manager, has reportedly been experimenting with Garcia in midfield as a pivot. However, Arsenal is confident they can secure him as a centre-back and offer more playing time.
