The Football Association is looking into allegations that Wolves forward Daniel Podence spat at Nottingham Forest player Brennan Johnson during their recent 1-1 draw.

Despite the incident being checked by VAR, referee Chris Kavanagh took no action.


Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper, who saw his team concede a late equalizer, declined to comment on the incident.


Similarly, Johnson did not want to discuss the matter, stating that there were videos and pictures for the authorities to investigate.


Following the match, Cooper accused Wolves’ backroom staff of ill-discipline after a touchline scuffle broke out between both dugouts.
