Leicester City’s James Maddison apologizes to fans for costly mistake against Bournemouth
Leicester City’s star midfielder, James Maddison, has apologized to fans after his shocking mistake cost his team the match against Bournemouth. Philip Billing scored the only goal of the game in the first-half after Maddison pulled off an awful back pass that was easily cut out. The mistake left Maddison crestfallen at full-time, admitting that it was a tough one to take. Leicester City caretaker boss, Adam Sadley, agreed that they didn’t deserve to beat Bournemouth and blamed their lack of confidence. Leicester City now find themselves in a perilous position in the Premier League after sacking Brendan Rodgers last Sunday. With eight matches remaining in the Premier League, they’re still just two points off safety. However, with so many teams woefully out of form, it could be a lottery who stays in the top tier this season. Maddison apologized to the fans and urged them to stay positive and rally behind the team. There’s still a long way to go, and he believes there are still plenty of points to play for, and Leicester will get going again on Monday.
