Leeds took the advantage in the relegation battle at Elland Road when Patrick Bamford scored the opener with a brilliantly-placed header. However, Marc Guehi soon wiped out the lead, before Jordan Ayew put Palace ahead with another header. The show really started as Ebere Eze and fellow attacking midfielder Olise made easy work of the Leeds defence to exchange passes before Eze found the net with style.

This remarkable display left talkSPORT reporter Dave Rowe in awe, stating “you cannot believe what you’re seeing,” while former Leeds loanee Micky Gray added, “Leeds have just gone to pieces.”

After putting on a mesmerizing display, Eze made sure that it was a memorable sixth Premier League goal of the season, taking off his boot and pointing at it to the camera. Olise continued to dominate the game, delivering his third assist of the afternoon, with Odsonne Edouard making it 4-1, before Ayew added another.

Ollise’s historic feat made him the youngest player in Premier League history, at 21 years and 118 days, to record three open-play assists in a single game. Palace’s five goals saw them record a third of their away goals in a single match, coming in Roy Hodgson’s second game since returning to the club. More crucially, the result saw Palace jump six points clear of the relegation zone, leaving Leeds just two from safety.
