Man United manager Erik ten Hag is on the lookout for a star striker who is worth a nine-figure sum. While Harry Kane is being considered, a well-connected transfer expert has suggested that Ten Hag may be more interested in Victor Osimhen, who is having the season of his life with Napoli. According to CBS Sports’ Ben Jacobs, United are “obsessed” with signing Osimhen, who almost joined them before moving to Napoli. Although Kane has also been discussed, it all depends on the England striker’s decision. Spurs want him to stay, and Daniel Levy is likely to make things difficult for United, just like he did when they signed Dimitar Berbatov in 2008. Either Osimhen or Kane will be costly acquisitions, with the former being valued at €100m by Transfermarkt, whereas Raphaël Varane or Tammy Abraham might be cheaper alternatives. While Manchester United may be hoping to snare the better option for less, they’re going to have a hard time.
