Julian Nagelsmann, the Bayern Munich coach, was sacked just a year-and-a-half into his five-year contract at the club. According to BILD, the Senegalese forward grew unhappy with Nagelsmann after being given only eight minutes of playtime in the game against PSG. While Bayern went on to comfortably win the game, Mane “complained heavily” in front of his teammates, much to Nagelsmann’s surprise. This sudden confrontation allegedly caused disagreements in the dressing room, leading to a damaged relationship between Nagelsmann and his players, with Mane at the center of it all.

Nagelsmann was replaced by Thomas Tuchel, but the question remains: would the outcome have been different had Mane’s reaction not affected their relationship? Only time will tell.
