French newspaper L’Equipe has not held back in their criticisms of Chelsea’s Champions League performance against Real Madrid, with defender Wesley Fofana receiving a shocking 2/10 rating for his ‘martyring’ at the hands of Vinicius Jr. Meanwhile, Joao Felix and Ben Chilwell were also branded as ‘failures’, with Chilwell’s attacking contribution being deemed ‘non-existent’ before he was sent off in the 2-0 defeat. The defending champions now hold a strong position to make the semi-finals of the tournament, with the return leg set to take place at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday next week.
