Liverpool Faces Charges for Referee Protest During Defeat against City

Liverpool vs Manchester City: FA charges Liverpool over player conduct

Liverpool FC has been charged by the Football Association (FA) for their players’ misconduct during their 4-1 defeat against Manchester City. The charges are over the failure to control their players who crowded around the referee pleading for a second yellow card for City midfielder Rodri following his challenge on Cody Gakpo.

The FA said in a statement, “It’s alleged that Liverpool FC failed to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or do not behave in a way which is improper.”

Liverpool has until April 12 to respond to the charges. Meanwhile, Arsenal, the league leaders, will be Liverpool’s opponents at Anfield on Sunday.
