Klopp’s stepson, Dennis, who is the son of his wife Ulla Sandrock, is expecting his first child. The news was revealed during an interview with the former Borussia Dortmund player Lukasz Piszczek on Polish television, where Klopp expressed his happiness about being a grandpa soon. Klopp and Ulla have no children together, but each has a son from their previous marriage, and they both get along well. Ulla, who Klopp met in Munich’s Oktoberfest in 2005, is a former social worker and a novelist with a big heart for charity work in Germany and Kenya.
Klopps relationship with Ulla has had a positive influence on his career, with the German-born Ulla being instrumental in convincing Klopp to extend his Liverpool contract, which he did last year, after initially planning to leave in 2024. Klopp once said that the most important contract in his life is the one with Ulla.
