“Manchester United and Scotland Star Urged to Join Newcastle or Step Up as Declan Rice’s Successor with Frank Lampard-esque Goal-Scoring Abilities”

Scott McTominay’s Scotland heroics draws similarities to Chelsea legend Frank Lampard

Scotland’s Scott McTominay has drawn comparisons with former England star, Frank Lampard, after scoring twice in their historic 2-0 win against Spain in the Euro 2024 qualifiers. McTominay’s goals were similar to those of Chelsea’s record goalscorer, arriving late in the box before firing into the back of the net. As an attacking midfielder, McTominay believes he can add more goals and assists to his game. Jason Cundy, the former Chelsea player, said, “Both goals were Lampard-esque… the way he finished with aplomb, both really well finished.” With just seven starts in the league for Manchester United this season, McTominay’s quality could still see him play at a top level. Jermaine Pennant has suggested Newcastle or West Ham as possible options for McTominay’s next move.
