Reports suggest that Manchester United are eyeing up a summer move for Brighton duo, Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo. Manager Erik ten Hag is enjoying a successful first season at Old Trafford, with the Red Devils in a good position to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League. United have already added the EFL Cup to their trophy cabinet this term and are still involved in both the FA Cup and Europa League.
Looking ahead to the 2023/24 campaign, ten Hag will be eager to strengthen his squad with at least one more midfielder. The Dutchman is already blessed with a talented group of players, including Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes, and Fred, among others. However, reports suggest that he is keen to add Brighton’s Mac Allister and Caicedo to his wish list. Caicedo attempted to secure a move to Arsenal in January but ended up signing a new deal with Brighton. Meanwhile, Mac Allister has enjoyed a fantastic season, which included winning the World Cup with Argentina.
According to Football Insider, United are also keeping tabs on 20-year-old Celta Vigo midfielder, Gabri Veiga. Despite talks dragging on, ten Hag remains relaxed about Marcus Rashford’s contract situation. Additionally, United are reportedly considering selling three key players at the end of the season to raise funds for squad reinvestment.
As Manchester United prepare for their Europa League quarter-final clash against Sevilla, fans will be eagerly anticipating what summer transfers may be in store.
