“Martin Odegaard’s injury from a challenge by Man City’s Rodri leaves Arsenal fans unimpressed”

Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard Injured in Norway vs Spain Euro 2024 Qualifier After Strong Challenge by Manchester City’s Rodri

Manchester City’s Rodri left Martin Odegaard clutching his ankle after wiping out Arsenal’s midfielder.

The incident occurred in Norway’s Euro 2024 qualifier against Spain. Odegaard was lining up to test Kepa Arrizabalaga when Rodri’s strong challenge wiped the playmaker out, blocking his effort and clearing it away from danger. Despite Odegaard’s injury, Norway was not awarded a penalty for the challenge. The midfielder continued playing as Norway fell to a 3-0 defeat to Spain. Some Arsenal fans considered the challenge to be premeditated with the Premier League title race in the business stage, with one fan hoping Odegaard would crunch Rodri back.

Another fan wrote: “Take Odegaard out this Rodri guy is may be on mission,” while someone else said: “I hope Odegaard crunches Rodri back.”

One more Arsenal fan then wrote: “No way this is a coincidence.”
