Some may recall the recent attempt by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney to purchase the club, a move which would have given Hartlepool an injection of Hollywood glamour. Although the opportunity didn’t come to fruition, it’s understandable why some supporters would wonder “what if?”

Despite the lack of a Tinseltown takeover, Victoria Park remains the home of a passionate fanbase desperate for a Hollywood ending to their current struggle. Donning their club’s embroidered “Never Say Die” motto, Hartlepool remains optimistic and continues to push for survival.
