Real Madrid’s Federico Valverde Allegedly Punched Villarreal’s Alex Baena

After a 3-2 victory for Villarreal against Real Madrid in a LaLiga match, Alex Baena, a Villarreal player, claimed Federico Valverde, a Real Madrid star, punched him in the face at Bernabeu’s car park. This came minutes after the two clashed on the pitch. Although Valverde will not face any punishment from LaLiga as Villarreal did not report the incident, Baena is now pressing charges and the Spanish FA are involved.

While both sides had a longstanding feud dating back to their previous clash in January, Baena denies making any comment about Valverde’s unborn baby.

Baena took to Instagram to clear his name and expressed his happiness over Villarreal’s win at Santiago Bernabeu. Villarreal released a statement expressing their support for Baena and reiterating their belief in the player’s version of events.
