Exactly what I needed! Tossed out the straight one in my other monstera, too. It comes with the lots of green Velcro plant tape, too, but I didnât need it because the bendy-ness does the job. The bendy pole looks way more natural than straight ones too. Love it.

I had a wilting monstera and I re a d about these sticky things to help perk her back up. They definitely work! The size is perfect for a medium to large size plant, anything in a small pot wouldn’t be able to handle this girth. Very easy to install, stay put and have not fallen apart at all. Great quality! I realize “moss pole” is a somewhat general term, but this is not sphagnum, nor moss of any sort. It’s coir, or something like it, and doesn’t hold much moisture, even after soaking overnight.. The poles are rather too narrow to accommodate a climbing vine like pathos. They are sturdy enough if you push them deep into the pot, and the flexibility is just right. They bend to any shape, and are strong enough to hold my ungainly, sprawling monstera into a more upright form. So they work as supports, but aren’t the kind of thing a plant will attach itself to.

I’ve got some wonderful philodendrons and mini monsteras and these provide both support and a growing path. I keep them misted a little so the plants are ‘inspired’ to wrap around them. They’ll take any shape you want but I just went with a corkscrew by wrapping one around a broomstick.

I also ordered a heavier sisal twine that seemed more natural than tape and less potentially damaging than thin sisal twine for plants, and used that to both secure the plant to the moss pole, and also to link the moss pole to a railing for our loft to train the monstera up into the loft area. It looks really nice and is sturdy this way. I think if you have a heavy plant attached, it is best to have additional anchors because the weight could pull it over. But I really like how this worked out for me.

These are ok for smaller plants. However, they aren’t great if you have taller or heavier plants. These poles are very narrow and only have a thin spike for sticking in pots. I prefer the thicker moss poles with the thicker bases. As the plant grows, the thicker poles can still support the plant weight. I don’t feel that these poles will support much for long. I will definitely need to double up as the plant grows in size.
