Purchased late May 2024 arrived alive and healthy. It was delivered 1st week of June. It is currently June 17th and plant is about dead. Followed directions and ordered Distilled water and used only this water for the plant ( also purchased on Amazon ) . From what I had seen on the plant, it did catch one fly, and that was it. It us currently dying. So much for directions.The VFT’s that we had in the past, never mentioned distilled water, and the plant survived 1/2 way through Winter.. then Kaput, and this was purchased at Lowes, with minimal directions.Update ::: I contacted the Seller directly. They graciously replaced the plant expeditiously without incurring further expense. A bit pricey at first, but their customer service and satisfaction was well worth the price.. Im going to increase my stars to 5. They went above and beyond to make the situation correct. Kudos. Will buy another if and when the time calls for it. Great educational tool.

Ordered, was very excited for this. Arrived practically dead with dirt all over the packaging. Repotted in a bigger pot and tried to save it but it wound up dying and is just absolutely disappointing. Packaging – bad, product – bad, appearance – bad. Don’t order this if you actually want a living and acceptable fly trap.

I know it’s normal for VFTs to lose leaves after being repotted, but this one completely died off in a few weeks. I had it in a mix of peat moss and spagnum moss in a bottom watering pot under a grow light and I only watered it with distilled water. Not sure what I did wrong.

I am very happy to own this product. The plant itself is very large, but has no traps open. Upon further view, I discovered that there was a bug inside each one. I am very satisfied because, the plant is large, the plant is effective, the fast delivery, and the amount of traps on the plant. I have a photo above for further proof.5/5 stars.Update: After owning it for 3-5 Weeks, itâs a beast of a plant. If you take proper care,It grows fast and unexpected. I saw the size of the traps on this plant and was blown away. I fed it 3 times and only one time has failed. Still 5/5, will buy again.
