Tragic Death of Young Woman at Michael Owen’s Manor House Stables

A beloved member of staff collapsed and passed away at Hugo Palmer’s Manor House Stables in Malpas, Cheshire, owned by the former Liverpool footballer Michael Owen. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning, around 8.50 am, when the 25-year-old woman fell ill while working at the stables. The emergency services arrived at the scene, but the young woman was pronounced dead, according to a statement by Cheshire Police.

The authorities have ruled out any malicious intent, and the family of the deceased has been informed. Cheshire Police is currently preparing a report for the coroner.

The Manor House Stables Twitter feed shared a message conveying the team’s profound grief: “It is with deep sadness that we have to announce that a much-valued member of our team died at work this morning. The family have been informed, and both the family and the team at Manor House request privacy at this time.”

The stables, which is the purpose-built training facility owned by Owen and his family since 2006, has been the base for trainer Hugo Palmer since last spring. The yard has withdrawn its one runner at Wolverhampton on Tuesday evening.

Michael Owen, who played for several English football clubs, including Liverpool, Real Madrid, Newcastle United, Manchester United, and Stoke City, expressed his shock and condolences over the tragedy.
