Tottenham Faces Competition from Real Madrid for Julian Nagelsmann as Spurs Begin their Hunt for a New Boss
Tottenham is on the hunt for a new permanent manager after Antonio Conte’s sacking. According to reports, the Spurs are interested in Julian Nagelsmann, the recently-sacked German from Bayern Munich. However, the recent news suggests that they might face a fierce competition from Real Madrid for the German coach. Nagelsmann is said to be on the lookout for his next challenge, and Spurs are one of the clubs in the line to try and sign him.
Interestingly, Real Madrid’s coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu this summer. As a result, reports suggest that Real Madrid might try to sign Nagelsmann soon. However, any club looking to sign Nagelsmann before the end of the current campaign will need to pay Bayern Munich compensation, given how the Bavarian club is still paying his £8million-per-year salary despite sacking him.
Despite the competition, Nagelsmann remains the top priority for Tottenham to replace Antonio Conte as their new manager. With some of the ten names on the list, including Mauricio Pochettino, Roberto De Zerbi, and Luis Enrique, Spurs are looking to take their time in making the right decision.
