Report: Manchester United eyes summer move for potential Raphael Varane replacement.

Manchester United set their sights on a new defender to replace the retired Raphael Varane. After ten years with the French national team, Varane won numerous accolades including the World Cup and the Nations League, making 93 caps. Despite being essential to United’s defence, injuries have left the club looking for a future without the centre-back. One potential option is 25-year-old Axel Disasi, who was recently included in France’s World Cup squad and has been linked to United. Disasi has been compared to Aurelien Tchouameni and Wesley Fofana, and could add solid competition to United’s squad. While he may not reach Varane’s level of success, Disasi is a promising player with a bright future ahead. United are also looking to make big signings, with Victor Osimhen, Declan Rice, and Jeremie Frimpong among their targets. However, rumours of signing Kylian Mbappe and selling Marcus Rashford to Arsenal are more outlandish. Despite this, Marcus Rashford emphasises the importance of a positive mentality at Old Trafford.
