Scotland Secures a 2-0 Victory Against Spain

Scotland Stuns Spain: Scott McTominay Scores a Double

Scotland secured a historic victory over Spain with a brace from Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay in their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign. The Scots, who also defeated Cyprus 3-0 over the weekend, dominated from the outset, with McTominay breaking the deadlock just seven minutes into the match.

Spain found it difficult to get past Steve Clarke’s side, who were vastly improved from previous encounters. Stuart Armstrong, Ryan Christie, and Lyndon Dykes all came close to scoring, while McTominay sealed the win with a well-timed volley from Kieran Tierney’s deflected cross just after halftime.

With two wins from two matches, the Scottish team sits on top of Group A.

Upcoming Matches

Scotland’s next Euro 2024 qualifiers are in June against Norway and Georgia on June 17 and June 20, respectively.
