Thiago Almada’s absence was felt by the Atlanta United as they suffered a crushing 6-1 defeat to the Columbus Crew. Meanwhile, new boys, St. Louis City, continued their winning streak with a 4-0 thrashing of Real Salt Lake, making them the standout story of the MLS season so far. Here’s a roundup of all the other results from the week.

Sporting Kansas City faced off against the Seattle Sounders, with Jordan Morris leading his team to a 4-1 victory after scoring all four goals, putting him at the top of Major League Soccer’s goal-scoring race. Meanwhile, Martin Ojeda had a goal and an assist for Orlando City, ending Philadelphia Union’s 13-match home-winning streak with a 2-1 victory. LAFC’s Denis Bouanga scored a late winner from a tight angle to give his team a 2-1 victory over FC Dallas, while Charlotte FC drew 1-1 with the New York Red Bulls after an own-goal by Andres Reyes.
