Soccer AM Presenters Break Their Silence on Show’s Cancellation
Popular morning show Soccer AM on Sky Sports will be cancelled at the end of the season after almost 30 years on air. The news has caused ripples across the country, leaving many football fans disappointed. Presenters Jimmy Bullard and John Fendley addressed the elephant in the room on the first show since the announcement.
The presenters couldn’t resist a cheeky jibe with Fendley implying that he knows the feeling of being axed. Bullard added humorously, “He ain’t going to last long.” However, Bullard tweeted that no final decisions have yet been made over the future of the show.
According to a statement made by a Sky Sports spokesperson, employees will have to reapply for their roles. “Soccer AM has played an important role in our coverage of football for the past three decades, and we continually adapt to the evolving needs of our customers,” the spokesperson said.
