Former footballer Glenn Hoddle suffered a heart attack on his 61st birthday back in October 27, 2018, at BT Sport studios. Several staff members immediately attended to him, but it was only sound supervisor Simon Daniels who managed to save his life. In a surprising reunion on Good Morning Britain, Daniels revealed that he managed to break seven of Hoddle’s ribs while performing CPR. Despite this, Hoddle made a full recovery, aged 65, and continued to appear as a pundit on BT Sport. He emotionally expressed his gratitude to Daniels and heart surgeon Stephen Edmondson, saying, “I’m only here because of Steve and Simon.
