The much-needed international break is over, and gameweek 29 of Fantasy Premier League promises to be an exciting and chaotic one, with multiple teams having double gameweek opportunities. To help you navigate through the multitude of choices, we’ve put together five essential picks that are sure to boost your team’s performance this week:
1. James Maddison
If you’re looking for a sure-fire pick from Leicester, look no further than James Maddison. The English midfielder has been the standout performer for Brendan Rodgers’ side this season, with the most shots per game (2.9) and 15 goal contributions in the league so far. Crystal Palace and Aston Villa are in line to face off against Leicester, and Maddison is sure to capitalize on their weak defenses.
2. Alexander Isak
Swedish forward Alexander Isak has been increasingly relied upon by Newcastle, scoring three of their last four goals. With strong underlying stats, notable recent goalscoring form, and penalty-taking duties, Isak is poised to excel in a double gameweek against Manchester United and West Ham.

5. Bruno Fernandes
Marcus Rashford is struggling with injuries, but Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes is a reliable second option in a double gameweek against Newcastle and Brentford. He scored twice against Fulham in the FA Cup and is a great differential option for FPL managers, with only 7.7% ownership.
