“Victor Osimhen Guaranteed to be Fit for Milan 2nd Leg”

Victor Osimhen to Feature in Napoli’s Champions League Quarterfinal Second Leg

Striker Victor Osimhen is set to feature in Napoli’s Champions League quarterfinal second leg against AC Milan next week as declared by manager Luciano Spalletti.

The 24-year-old leads the Serie A charts this season with 21 goals but has been suffering from a groin injury, which caused him to miss Napoli’s squad as they lost to Milan in the first leg of their all-Italian quarterfinal. However, Spalletti insisted that Osimhen, who scored four goals in five Champions League games, will make a comeback to help his team attempt to overturn their deficit.

Without Osimhen, Napoli had more shots and efforts on target than their opponents but couldn’t find a way past Milan’s defence. Napoli’s situation worsened when midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa received a second yellow card, and both he and defender Kim Min-Jae will be suspended for the second leg.

Napoli midfielder Eljif Elmas criticized the refereeing and suggested it contributed to his team’s downfall. Despite this, Spalletti trusts the squad to fill in with any absence that is damaging at this stage of the season.
