“Wales manager Robert Page asserts future looks promising for his team after impressive performance”

Robert Page Agrees Contract Extension as Wales Take Four Points from Opening Euro 2022 Qualifiers

Wales boss Robert Page has been left “delighted” after his side exceeded expectations by taking four points from their opening two European Championship qualifiers to top their group, following a disappointing showing at the 2022 World Cup. Despite injuries and retirements, Page’s side managed to secure a shock point in Split and a 1-0 win over Latvia to put themselves in an unexpectedly positive position. Bournemouth striker Kieffer Moore scored the decisive goal to take him to double figures for international goals and earn Wales the win. Men’s record-scorer Gareth Bale said farewell to the home fans, after announcing his retirement from football earlier this year.
