Defender-wise, multiple outlets are reporting that Manchester United has ‘stepped up’ their interest in signing Monaco’s Axel Disasi for around £44 million. CaughtOffside claims that the team also wants to double the wages for Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni, bringing him over to Old Trafford. In addition, right-back Denzel Dumfries has been linked with Manchester United for a while, and there’s the possibility of a swap deal with Inter Milan’s Diogo Dalot. Meanwhile, in midfield, the team is keenly watching Xavi Simons from PSV and Barcelona’s Gavi, who could be available for free.

As for forwards, the rumours are flying around. Sky Sports reports that Manchester United was willing to swap Dean Henderson plus cash for Tottenham’s Harry Kane during the transfer window. However, Tottenham’s chairman reportedly has no interest in trading his star striker, who might be interested in a move to Old Trafford. Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is also being talked about, with a hefty price tag of £132 million. Alternatively, the team is exploring the potential of Portuguese striker Goncalo Ramos, Raphael Leao from AC Milan, and Benfica’s talented players.
