Messi and Otamendi Celebrate World Cup Victory with Tattoos

Lionel Messi expresses gratitude to Nicolas Otamendi for their triumph and thanks his Argentina teammate for dedicating a tattoo that commemorates their shared moment of glory at the World Cup. Otamendi has recently added the tattoo to his extensive collection of body art, featuring Messi’s iconic moment of touching the World Cup. Along with the three words, “Enthusiasm, Conviction and Ambition”, Otamendi also added the quote: “How are they going to tell me that magic doesn’t exist?”, alongside the date of the final in Lusail.

Otamendi shared a video of the tattoo being completed on his abdomen on Instagram, which also includes artwork of the two other trophies Argentina has recently won – the Finalissima and the Copa America.

Messi was touched by Otamendi’s tribute, and he shared the video on his own Instagram, calling it ‘something more than special’.

Angel Di Maria, Leandro Paredes, Nicolas Tagliafico, Alejandro Gomez and Emiliano Martinez are among the other Argentina players who have also immortalized their World Cup triumph in tattoo form.

Messi himself also added a brand new World Cup tattoo, which is believed to be a cryptic celebration of the incredible run of success the PSG forward has enjoyed with his national team over the past few years.
